We were in Zanzibar at the beginning of July, we booked both transfers to and from the airport and various tours, we had a very good time, kind, helpful staff and trained guides!
We used Babu tours for a roundtrip between the ferry terminal to our hotel in Uroa. Issa met us at the terminal, he was there before our arrival time. He also sent a msg to let us know that he was waiting for us.He greeted us with a big smile and his driving skills are impecable.Not only that, at 5am when returning from the hotel to the terminal even though the roads were pitch dark, Issa excelled driving us back to the terminal!Super easy to reach them through a WhatsApp msg. We booked the transfer, agreed on the price and paid directly to the driver.Highly recommended.
We used Babu tours for a ride from the airport to our resort, a tour of Stome Town, and a day trip to Nungwe Beach, and a very early morning ride back to the airport. The drivers were always punctual, reliable, friendly, helpful, and informative. The prices were very reasonable. Not only would I highly recommend them, but they are the ONLY transfer/taxi/tour service I will use when I visit Zanzibar!
My family and I (group of 5) booked a snorkeling tour to Mnemba Island with Babu Tours. I would like to say that it was one of the best experiences we have had. Even though our phone was damaged and we couldn't contact them to confirm the tour, Babu Tours still sent the vehicle to pick us up. The driver was super friendly and professional. We then met guide Othman, who guided us during snorkelling. Othman is a very friendly and professional person. You can see at a glance from his explanations that he has a lot of knowledge. Othman has a great sense and knowledge about the conservation of the environment and the ecosystem of Mnemba Island, that was something that we really liked and that we appreciate, because we like to do responsible tourism.It was a fabulous day, it was an excellent price for everything we received: door-to-door transportation, private boat, fruits and drinks on the boat. A huge and super delicious lunch with shrimp, lobster, octopus, squid, rice and chips, and drinks.The whole family enjoyed it.The only thing that could improve is the bathrooms (toilets) in the place where we had lunch.In conclusion, I can only 100% recommend Babi tours for anyone or families who want to snorkel in Zanzibar. We hope that Babu tours continues to provide great service and encourages more guides to be like Othman.Thank you very much Babu Tours.

Overall, we had a great experience.We (a group of 4) booked through get your guide, very easy and straight forward. We communicated with the company via WhatsApp and they were very responsive and helpful.Transportation was arranged for us through our booking. We reached out to Babu Tours and Safaris the day before via WhatsApp and exchanged information regarding our hotel, time of pick up, etc.Mohammed was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, kind, patient and took a lot of pride in sharing the history and culture with us. I asked many questions and he answered me with enthusiasm every time!Unfortunately, the weather was not great, but Mohammed did not let that dampen his spirit or ours!Very important to note: there was no dock, the boat comes as close to the shore as it can and you walk through the water to board the boat.
